Inter-American Red Cross Conference in the Bahamas: the French Red Cross takes part through PIRAC

The French Red Cross is participating through PIRAC based in Guadeloupe and Global First Aid Reference Center – IFRC to the 22nd Red Cross Inter-American Conference organized by the IFRC and the Bahamas Red Cross. 34 National Red Cross Societies are participating to strengthen cooperation and networking around common humanitarian concerns & challenges.

Along with our partner CDEMA, we are introducing our disaster risk reduction missions in the Caribbean & the 2 regional programs Ready Together & Ready 360°.

GFARC promotes there the technical expertise in first aid available for the National Societies and its tools such as the international Guidelines, the International First Aid Attestation, the first aid app…

As part of the Ready 360° program, the National Societies of 8 Caribbean territories will be consulted to adapt the first aid manual to the Caribbean context.

This is the 1st time the Red Cross Inter-American Conference is held in the Caribbean. The participants will focus on “local solutions to global challenges”, in the context of the climate crisis which particularly affects the region.
