New online training on logistics for disaster preparedness and response

30 June 2022

PIRAC is launching a new online training session on Logistics for Disaster Preparedness and Response for volunteers, logisticians and disaster managers within the Red Cross in the Caribbean region.

Through this seven-course program, one can learn how to effectively manage and ship a stockpile of relief items while adhering to Red Cross Movement standards and procedures. The final two modules focus on protection, gender and inclusion, as well as storage space and team management during epidemics.

This course is based on the French Red Cross Logistics Manual. Do you want to learn about logistics and feel better prepared to manage a disaster response?

Here are the key steps to follow:

  • Go to the IFRC training platform
  • Create your personal account if you don’t already have one.
  • Search for: Warehouse Management for Emergency Response
  • Start the course!

The course is available in English, French and Spanish.

The training module is funded by the European Union.
